“Finding Space” is one of a small series of works where I celebrate my ‘what if’ moments. In my therapy role often ‘what if’ thinking was seen as a problem particularly noted in anxiety, but here I reflected that it depends on the action that follows. Often when I paint theres a moment of ‘what if I do that’. Before I realise the action has been completed and a new mark holds its space on the canvas. This series celebrates some of my favourite marks that are now engraved in my artistic style. I love the depth of this piece and bubbles are a signature in my work; finding breath, space in the weight and comfort of the water.
