Finding myself in the sea again, connected to life and colour and friends.

This piece came from one of my favourite surfs of 2020. A quiet spot on the South C of Cornwall just a few people on the peek, the waves were sunlit and small, we could have easily moved to another beach. But we seized the moment and went in. The sets shaped up and stepped up and I caught one of my best rights and wave after wave pumped in. The sky gave out the full display of sunlight, darkening with hail and cloud swirls. I came up through the back of a wave and turned to catch a view of my friend make a rainbow spray off the lip. As he paddled back out a second rainbow fell from the clouds. The sun lowered and cast a warm flicker of light over the kinetic sea. Another normal day made epic by the sea. I hope she inspires!
